I installed the Terrafirma HD Track Rod & Drag Link about 2 or 3 years ago. While greasing up the Tie Rod Ends I noticed that all the Boots are already splitting and one of the ends already feels very binding or rough if you twist it side to side - And I've barely had it off road. I'm pretty sure/guessing that they don't ship these with high end Tie rod ends to start.

What is the good choice to replace these TRE's with, that are grease-able?

What tre's does it use? Are they D1 rod ends? If they are you have a large choice of ends. I never found greasable ends to be any advantage.

Not sure of the Brand of TRE's that came with the set-up - They are R & L threaded. - Seems i read someplace that Defender TRE's will work.

Agreed, skip the greasable TRE's. Any D1 TRE will work. My TF HD TRE's also split boots.. one on their own (within 5k miles), and another from overgreasing.

I replaced them with Lemforder TRE's. About $8 a pop, high quality.

When it comes to grease fittings, there's something to be said for just replacing the joints periodically. I find greasing my HD drive shaft C/V assemblies to be a royal pain in the ass. They'll last a very long time, but damn it's annoying.

My steering stuff is all spherical, but if it wasn't, I'd likely go sealed there.

Cheers,
