2003 SE d2

I recently purchased this d2 after being out of rovers for a couple years. Truck seems to be in good shape. a few cosmetic issues. Runs strong. shifts smoothly. Had a few maintenance things done.

It has had a vibration starting at about 60mph that worsens to about 72 mph then decreases but never goes away after 75mph. I am trying to nail this down. You can feel it a bit in the steering wheel and a bit in the florr but mostly it just hums loudly. The weird symptom is that if you go around a curve to the left it goes away almost entirely. It doesn't really seem to get worse if you go around a curve to the right.

whats been done:
new front prop shaft
new rear donut
replaced driver side hub
new tires mounted and balanced
lifted 2 inches (terra firma)

My thoughts are
Passenger hub
front diff
maybe a cv

Any thought would be appreciated before I throw more money at it

thanks

Do you feel it in the steering wheel? If so, I would replace the panhard rod bushings.
If not, maybe check the rear shaft u-joint. or get both shafts balanced. Also, may want to ditch the roto and convert to u-joint in the rear.

Mine had a vide that would come at around 45 - 55 and would go away around left turns, still there in right turns. Ended up getting worse and coming during braking. Replaced the panhard bushing once, helped for a week then came back. Re-inspected bushing and they had failed again. Replaced with poly and its been vibe free ever since. I was feeling it in the steering wheel though.

it is mild in the steering wheel. not a frank vibration. the same vibration comes through the floor. wheels are stock alloys. doesnt change with tire rotation. diff fluid has been changed. no excessive wear noted in fluid. will look at the bushings thanks

I found the centre (center) bushing in the rear of the propshaft was worn on mine, it allowed the propshaft to run out of true as the donut isn't designed to keep the shaft central.

Bad news is that the bush is expensive. I used an earlier one and made up a phosphor bronze bush to go inside, replicating the original.

There's a thread on here, about November time with some pictures.

thanks for the suggestions. still looking. I had a suggestion that it might be the drum for the parking brake. My thought was if i put the brake on to create a small amount of friction while the noise was happening it would change or go away and it didnt so i believe i have ruled that out.

If you have any other suggestions on where to look let me know

thanks
