I haven't taken my disco off-road for awhile. 2 months. Last night i decided to get the tires dirty. I could not get it to go into low range. I can engage the diff lock still. I also have the three amigos, but that is due to a bad wheel speed sensor up front. I have the parts, I've just been to lazy to put the new ones in.

If I remove the shift interlock permanently will there be any issues. I just did this to my 1993 RRC LWB and it didn't effect it at all.

Thanks

I have fixed it. no worries.

Take out the center console.

Remove all the crap around the solenoid.

unbolt the 4 8mm bolts holding in the solenoid in.

my solenoid parts fell out.

wash it in the parts washer.

put silicone around the cap and then bolt it back in.

take your shifter linkage, straighten it, then weld it up so it will never bend again.

replace center console after repairing leaking heater core.
