Darn Interior Lights!

I admit it, I'm electronically challenged - with that said, my front interior light stopped working. My passenger interior light hasn't worked since I bought the truck, but the rear cargo light works fine....I assume they are all running on the same fuse? Last week I dropped the front of my headliner to do some maintenance. When I put the interior light back in, the metal backing plate/mount made contact with something and shorted out. I replaced the fuse (the bulb wasn't mounted at the time so it's fine) but still no light. Any ideas on where the problem may lie?

I have the same problem with mine....I took the switch apart and cleaned it. It has worked since then, but I really didn't see any corrosion or anything when cleaning that would not allow it to work....
