Hello,
My dashboard clocks light has died. the clock still works but I cannot see it at night. Is there a lightbulb in the clock that can be changed?(stop laughing) or have I joined the team of LR owners looking for replacement clocks?

I hope there is a bulb in the clock, as I just ordered something call a,"dashboard clock bulb and holder." I hope it is for the digital clock and not the analog clock. I have the same problem by the way. It should be here friday, and I will let you know if I wasted my $6.95 then, if know one speaks up sooner.

i brought my DII in to get something else fixed and had them fix the clock while they were at it, all it said was "changed clock bulb" ... it was under warranty so no cost

use a sylvania 2721 bulb

Bulb is a Sylvania 2721 (W2.W1) BP . Remove the holder, look at the sides and you will see a small silver clip. Use a very small screwdriver, push the clip inwards on both sides and withdraw the bulbin its holder.. Look at the bulb you pulled and shape the wires on the new bulb teh same way, and reinstall in the holder.
2 bulbs $2.30, replacement bulb in holder at my local lr dealer $9.95.
Time to replace, 5 minutes. You decide which is better way to go.
Hope this helps
Neil

Yes, there's a bulb

And removal of the clock isn't nearly as bad as some think... I just used two old credit cards, one above and one below, to release the catches and then wriggled it out.

Good information and timely. My clock has been on the blink, lately. Not sure if it's just a bad connection or possibly the bulb on the fritz. This gives me something to go on. Thanks.

I recently pulled the whole thing out (screw driver, removed the cup holders) ..and as soon as I get the analog clock will install it. My clock will only show the number 8 and 10. It has become a real problem, as I am missing more appointments day by day. If anyone needs or wants it let me know. The bulb is fine, its the green LCD I do believe that is on the fritz. LOL! I use this method with other things. Like when I removed my running boards.

Melissa its very easy - you just need some knife & file or grinder with cutting blade.

You just cutting out "frameP" of side of your new clock in existing housing, and then got to remove some plastic bits to make it fit snuggly.

Clock itself runs off 2 wires as you may see, and you got 3 in your existing plug. I cant remember which ones to use :(

Few drops of 3M glue for plastic may help too :)

You pay for the cheep shipping and Its yours M ... I am afraid i can not go to the Rover meet I am racing on Sunday and then again on Mon-Tues at a Rally event. Besides until i swap out motors i would not embarrass myself my 3.9 is in sad shape. That Rover has been from the east coast to the west coast and a bunch of stuff in between..
