Anyone used this unit? I searched thru quite a few threads, and didn't find any mention of it. I did some reseach online, seems like a pretty good unit. I have been considering a Garmin 60 Csx, too, but the topo maps for De Lorme seem tobe a little better. Input is appreciated.

Not sure about the PN20, but I have the LT-40 and like it for what it is. The maps are not bad, either. I've never ventured into so distant remote area, but they seem alright.

I have the Topo 5.0 and the Street Atlas 2009 and use my laptop stuck to a Jotto desk. It's good for mapping, but a PITA for general GPS use.

I have one...had it from when they first intro'd em...
You get Topo 7.0 with it also....you cut the maps you want and add em to a SD card.
Plug it in and you get nice detailed mapping on your hand held.
Its hampered by having a slow processor so switching from map to map to sat imaging and such can take some time...decent lock on sattelites...

IMHO it needs a faster prosessor and a bigger screen (something like the Ipod touch would be nice) and also illuminated buttons

I worked with a guy in Maine last year and he worked for De Lorme and did the beta testing on it. He didn't have much good to say about it that was good. Lots of bugs and not very reliable. I have the USB antenna version they sell and it works fine. Topo 6.0 is o.k but not what I find easy to use.
I work with a lot of marine ECDIS systems, Electronic Charting, and they are pretty complicated. I would stick with Garmin or Magellan for ease of use and reliability.
