this what you were looking for? im thinking this is a different one due to axle spacing but it is probably fairly similar underneath. not sure if the series shown is leafs or has been upgraded to coils but i think it would be fun either way (its still a series)

looking back at the other pictures, i do see what appears to be a leaf spring at the rear behind one of the wheels. I also noticed that on the picture you posted the rear axle is not hooked to a drive shaft. I was wondering if they did hook it up or if it was for looks. Overall i am not interested in this thing, just being nosey as to how or why they did this.

I remember seeing a 6x6 in Land Rover Owners International a while back, but I cannot remember if it was a RR or a Defender.

Im surprised none of you clowns picked up on it being a 1974 Defender, seeing as they didnt even go into production until 1983

In all actuality, when they originally made what we call "defenders" (in 1983/1984), they were actually called "county's". They had aluminum bodies put together with rivets (My dad had a brand new 1985 County growing up overseas). When they switched to steel bodies, they changed the name to the defender.

That photo clearly shows coils over both rear axles... fwiw.

wasn't "County" a particular package? I thought they were called 90's and 110's without the Defender. I think a County was a SW 90 or 110 as opposed to a MoD, 2 door 110, or van side model. I could be wrong, but that's always been my understanding.

and that POS 6x6 has been all over CL and ebay for the last two years.

Were they electric or hydro powered?
