ARB Snorkel

Have a 96 with 4.0 and am having problems fitting the air intake hose to throttle body. The problem is that the yellow dipstick interferes with the hose not allowing for it to wrap around properly so it will not align with the air box in the other end. Anyone run into this problem? Any suggestions would be appreciated. I'll post pics when I get home. Thanks Ed

I'm assuming you mean arb snorkel and not bumper or fridge.

I moved my air box and routed the intake through the fender on my mantec similar to the safari snorkel style and cut about 1/2" off the intake hose. That's all it needed. Now that is on a 95 and they have a different dipstick tube. Maybe that's why it worked

Robert thanks for catching the error. On my 95 DI the install cleared the different type dipstick no problem but on the 96 after I trimmed the hose a bit it just won't mate up. The ARB relocation plate moves the air box a few inches towards the engine which makes it impossible to get it to even line up. Has anyone relocated the dipstick a bit installing a different clamp to hold the dipstick in place? Just need to move it about 1 inch.
