**SOLD**

Goes in place of passenger airbag. Looks like early Disco I. Rare in North America. I removed it and went with a Caseys Rover tray. I paid $75 plus shipping.
$55 shipped-via USPS flat rate box

Hey could you show us a pic of your dash with that "Caseys Rover tray."

Nice tray. Line the bottom with rubber and you're all set. A latching lid to keep items secure would be really cool.

Got an email back from Casey. He makes them for DI's and DII's.

$75 is well worth the price. Try fabbing up a piece of sheet metal, finishing it, and then painting or powdercoating for that kind of $$, let alone the time spent on it. One is on the way for me. I'll just delete the front panel so I can install the grab handle.

Sorry dude, but your wife isn't any more safe in a crash waiting on a 15yr old airbag to properly deploy. Plus, it isn't for candy and snacks, its for her purse.

Greg Davis I am shocked you aren't making your own solution? When I had my yellow TDI Disco with the (correct) grab handle I was going to just have a fiberglass insert made to cover the holes in the dash pad that are exposed when you remove the air bag. Then I met a local kid who hand makes carbon fiber skateboards and he was going to do it... then I sold the truck.

I took a piece of 18 gauge that I had sitting around, bent it with a hammer and vice, painted it cummins beige, and sandwiched it between the grab bar and dash. It looks alright with the factory ROW mat covering up the bottom of the grab bar. Way less than $75 and IMO looks better than that bread pan thing. I've thought about adding a spring loaded aux 12v plug to the metal plate too so that passengers can keep there crap over there instead of messing up the center console.

Only pic I have is unfinished. I'll try to remember to take a finished one this weekend.

is removing the air bag fairly simple? how much concern for inadvertent bag deployment? I've had the factory grab handle for over a year and still have not got around to installing. but after seeing all this, want to get back on it. really like the idea of an aux 12v in there.
