I need a diesel motor for our VA location to replace the Toyota 2L diesel that is off to get rebuilt (hopefully), but was used for our diesel repair class.

It could be a LR, Toyota, Nissan, VW, etc motor - prefer a 4 cylinder motor due to weight and size, but could be a larger motor.

Either direct injection or common rail will, but would prefer a later common rail.

Motor could be non-running as it's just for teaching purposes and also to keep it inexpensive. Will be placed on an engine stand.

Shoot me an email at garrett@overlandexperts.com if you have anything that could be used. Looking for a complete long block. Could be located from CT to VA and points in between that are easily accessible via our route from our two locations.

Thank you-

I have an International HS2.8L to assemble. $6200. All parts for fully dressed brand new engine.

I am in upstate new york. This was involved in a run-away diesel at birth due to too much oil (engine was shipped with lite break-in oil still in it and filled). Blew head gasket (oil in cooling circuit) and threw off head a few hundredths. This is waiting to be put back together. The cylinder walls were slightly glazed - nothing that a light re-honing wont take care off. new - piston heads, rings, all bearings (wrist, main journals), head gasket included. New injector nozzles, glow plugs Cylinder head machined and ready.

pm if interested. very firm on price as parts are worth it easy. Welcome to inspect.

Do a search for Hs2.8L on d90.com and there are pics of this from back in 2005. will be under same name (michael)

Thanks for the responses. I'd really prefer a non running motor as I don't want to spend big $ on a motor that's just going to sit on a stand. The smaller the better too - less space, easier to place on our motor stand and more realistic for our applications. Thanks -

I think Dan at Airpark Rovers may have a motor that will fit the bill. Call him at 301-208-1347.

Edit: Owner of motor is keeping for parts.
