Diff/TC oil swap

I'm getting sick of squeezing 1/2 a quart of gear oil into the diffs and TC at a time, refilling the bottle, and repeating till full.
I bought a hand fluid transfer pump but its still a pain. Very hard to pump and not well built/leaks.

What is everybody using to fill their diffs/TC? I have gear oil in Gallon jugs and would love to just transfer it easily and cleanly.
Anyone every try one of those pressurized sprayers with the tip cut off? We use them to add mineral oil to the lift station pumps at work but not sure how it'd work on 85w-140?

I use one of these. Works a lot better than the bottle hand pumps.

I was going to try a garden sprayer next time. Pump with pressure and modify the nozzle. Can be had cheap at Lowe's. No idea if it will work.
I use a windshield washer bottle with 12 volt washer pump for adding transmission fluid to cars that do not have dipsticks. Takes some time but you can just walk away and add fluid when the bottle gets low. I tried it with gear oil once pump will not move that thick of oil.

culdnt tell you if i have used that specific one but many like it and no issues good ones are not cheap.

Tractor supply sells them for $45

I have been eyeing it for a long time but then I'd have to buy the 5 gallon containers of gear oil and rotella and any other fluid I can pump thru it.. I'm sure it's a huge savings in the long run to buy in bulk like that anyway.

Ditto on the orange haboe freight transfer pump, not great quality, leaks some, but gets the job done in short order. I learned a lesson years ago, never attempt to change tranny or diff oils when its below 70-80 degrees out. 70 or 90 wieght oil is unpumpable when stone cold.

I bought a cheap Autozone screw on bottle pump. Ive used it for diff, transfer case, and powersteering/ACE fluid changes. No leaks. works great.

$8 Garden sprayer from Lowes. It's cheap and it works great. Rubber band the trigger down and you don't even have to lay under the truck while it fills.

I buy the quart-sized bottles of synth gear oil, cut the tip off the cap, attach a 5" length of surgical tubing, and squeeze it straight into the filler holes. Takes about 3 minutes and costs about zero.

That Harbor Freight hand pump is a piece of shit.

I have an electric transfer pump that I use to change the oil on my boat. You cant get to the drain plug in the motors, so you have to suck the oil out of the dip-stick tube. I use it to drain it, and then fill it. I have had thoughts of trying in for gear oil on the Disco, but never got around to it. Perhaps we can give it a try.

Otherwise, I had the same issue as you... I buy gear oil in gallon jugs and use a hand pump....

Top Tip - Get a 3 gallon pot and bring about 1.5 gallons to boil. Turn off head and set your jug of gear oil inside the pot for 20 minutes. The oil will be nice and warm and flow much easier through the hand pump.

The oil syringes look good, but a new one I bought last year was worse than the old 25-year one I already had.

The big problem seems to be that where the piston road is made to pass through the piston, it also allows oil through that runs out over your hands and arms.

One of these days I'm going to make the piston rod a fixture and stop that.
