Thanks for all of that.

I just found a .pdf version of the manual on ebay for less than $10.

I am in Huntersville, so I'll have to look him up. Is he cheap enough to just have him do the work?

Can he reset the lights if I do it myself?

I beg to differ. If I rebuild something, the liability is all on me. If I install a part using accepted methods, the liability can be spread out to the vendor.

Keep in mind I spent nearly 20 years telling big corporations how to avoid environmental liability, and one of my best friends is an attorney and is also the guy who got me into Rovers. He has agreed and endorsed this policy for these reasons.

I have neither the deep pockets, nor the same level of insurance a dealership has. AND, I'm very risk averse when it comes to the safety of my clients.

I won't even sell used brake parts to my customers. Same issues; what if they cream into a car and tell their insurance company that the brakes failed after they bought a used part from me.

I'm always telling customers no brake lines, no used calipers, no rotors, nata nutten.

On another note while I was surfing all data for landy recalls. I read that land rover believes when tested most ABS modulators returned test out without a problem. They want their techs to really test all ground locations for the modulator and the ecu itself before submitting a claim for a new modulator.

I called Dale Gregory, and he said he do it for $70-110 if I buy the part, including bleeding the lines and reseting the lights. I'll take that over doing it myself. Thanks for the reccommendation.

Yeah he can re-set the lights even if you replace the part. Infact i need to take mine up to him and get him to re-set my lights. I trust him when my car is with him. I have known him for years, and when i get my cars back from him, nothing else needs to be done and its done right the first time.:applause:

Best of luck

EURO West here in So Cal replaced my shuttle valve Jan-Feb 07. they told me it was a 50/50 chance it would work. no amigos for about 3 months. now they (the amigos) come on almost every time I drive. when they are not on TC does kick on sometimes. Does this mean my modulator is working? seems like it does.
