DII starter problems?

I'm not real mechanically inclined and not sure where to find everything. The only procedures besides changing the oil that I have preformed are change the spark plugs/wires and the o2 sensors.

So, here is where I'm at. I have replaced the battery, when the key is turned there is no click or anything. I got under and tried to tap the starter and there was a spark so I am guessing it is getting plenty of juice.

What are the next steps I should take?

Had a similar issue on mine. First, ensure small spade connection to starter has got a good connection. Secondly, ensure that the other connection is also good (I believe that there a was a TSB or something similar related to this issue). Mine ended up being a the park neutral safety switch was faulty causing the truck to not know what gear it was in; hence no start. Something to look at anyway.

Year and miles on truck?

And if you have to replae the starter you can get a good one at autozone for around 95.00 DONT go to the dealer cause just for the part it comes to something like 900.00 (or at least thats what I was quoted here)

I got one at Napa for $140.00 plus my core. I had it installed for like $80 bucks, it was worth it.>JB

That is true.

I got a starter from Autozone for 90 something. The dealer in Tulsa wanted over 800.

To replace it was no big deal. If the OP changed plug wires on a Bosch engine then the starter will be no big deal at all if that is what the car needs.

Mine acted the same. Good voltage, just won't turn over. What I found was the nut holding the power cable was loose. Tighten it and all is good again. Do you have any vibrations in the front axle that might shake the nut loose?
