Anyone with a disco2 have any advise on transporting a dirt bike with those trailer hitch attachments? There are few models out there, which one is the best?

The bike weights ~240lbs.

I've heard stories about these things not working so well and bending the hitch on Rovers. What was your experience?

I'm interested in the Ultimate MX Hauler since it supports the bike at the center of balance.

I haven't personally used one. But my friend would use his to transport his race bike to the track. It was definatly heavier than a small dirtbike. He also used one to haul his ATV around. The truck was an H3.

I use one as well, no-name brand from a Harbor Freight-like store. It weighs about 50lbs by itself and I'm carrying a WR250. Truck is a D2 with OME 2" HD springs and shocks. The back end squats pretty good with the weight back there, and the front end feels pretty light. You want to drive cautiously, but it's not scary. The worst part is trying to get the bike up onto the ramp since the hitch on the D2 is so high, and the lift makes it worse. I usually try to park sideways to a hill to help. The bike ends up pretty close to the spare tire, usually a footpeg has to be folded up. I've even been on some rough dirt roads, the bike moves around a lot, mostly because of reciever tube slop, but it's been ok.

Short distances, I use my utility trailer, just because it's easier to load/unload. But longer distances I use the carrier because it has zero effect on fuel consumption.

I bought one on Ebay from the guys in florida, ( dual bike carrier ) I used to carry my kids' TTR90 close to the spare tire ( as it could get a little congested there ) and my YZ450F on the outter rail.

Never had a problem, and super easy to ride ON/OFF

Ah - sweet setup. I've got the 450exc. Ktm makes awesome bikes. Thanks for the replies. Good to know the hitch won't bend off, I didn't think it would, but read on other forums about some RRC hitch just dropped off after a bump. It Must have been rusted through like a typical RRC. I'll look for a deal on that MX hauler since it will double as a bike stand.
