I was pulling a truck out of a ditch and I had to switch from 4wd high to low to help pull out for short time. When done I went to put disco 1 in park but it slpped as in neutral. I then dropped to 4wd low and it went to gear. I drove it in 4wd high and all gears/gear selections worked. I tested in 4wd low and all grears/gear selections worked. I looked at my disco and there was no visable damage or leaks.
I am thinking that I did not push the knob all the way forward into low and it might have slipped to neutral. Is this possible. Could somthing else be going on? What is your opinion. Thank you for your time.
