I spent the last couple of hours searching this forum and the entire web and didn't find what I was looking for.

Due to constant leaking I got rid of my ACE system on my 99 D2. Now I want to get rid of the instrument panel light and beeping sound. I don't have any dealer near me. While searching this issue, I read that I can jump pins 11 and 36 on the ACE ECU and that would get rid of the light and the beep. The info doesn't explain how to do it. I don't want to mess anything up. Any of you know how to do it? I don't know which pin is # 11 and which one is pin # 36. Thanks!

I pulled the fuses for the ACE as well as disconnected it from the slabs. That took care of the beep. as far as the light. Just pull the dash and remove the light bulb.

Ken, you are a life saver, sir. Got rid of the stupid alarm, which was the most annoying thing.

Just for the historical record and further help D2 owners dealing with this issue in the future, removing the fuse 29 in the passenger compartment fusebox didn't work for me. When I tried to fire up the engine, it didn't do anything. No crank. I just put it back and it worked perfectly.

Bottom line: unplugging the ACE ECU, removing fuse 15 and the ACE relay in the engine compartment fusebox did the trick.

I can't thank you enough for your assistance. If you were closer, beers were on me! Cheers.

You can reprogram the cluster through the BCU to turn the light off. Back when I had a D2 I had someone send me their cluster and I turned the light off for them. They never had ACE but their cluster was setup for it so every time they started the engine the light would flash for a bit.
