Hello, could someone please provide me with the mounting instuctions for the disco 2 brush guard. I have searched and saw this topic many times but there don't appear to be any links. Does anyone have a copy they could e-mail me. Thanks

lift the brush bar up there and line up the holes and slide the bolts through. if anything is in the way, cut it out of the way.

If it is a stock 01 DII I think it mounts with the same bolts that attach the crush cans to the frame. Just remove the crush can bolts on the frame add the brush guard and replace the bolts. IIRC the bolts will be long enough to allow for the stock brushguard. I have not done this but I would think that the stock bumper will hang there while you do the job. If it doesn't just block it up until you get the bolts back in. The drivers side has the factory recovery point and may cause a bolt length problem. If it does you can remove the factory recovery point or get longer bolts. There are two more points back farther on the frame. I don't know if the are rated for recovery but the will work in a pinch.

If you are doing this for looks be aware that an accident with a brush guard will most likely cause more damage. From what I've seen the brush guard folds back into the hood pretty easy.

If you are doing it for function be sure to brace the hell out of it. The way it mounts under the bumper creates a lot of leverage. I think it will twist just like the ARB airbag bumpers. I could be wrong and if I am the Peeps will set me and you straight.

Thanks for the link but it doesn't list the bar I have on the truck. Mine has plastic parts on it and is similar.

My plan is to remove this bar and have it sand blasted and powder coated. It's pretty beat up right now.
