Disco convertible

Has anyone ever made a Discovery convertible?

...Chop off the top, take out the passenger seats, put in a roll cage and a flatbed. My mechanic and I have taken several basic angle measurements, and it appears to be feasible (if not expensive), and wouldn't require extensive structural compensation.

Any thoughts, flames, or "You're a dumbass" would be appreciated! :D

Brendan Kearns cut off his top when he rolled it, but i think he sold it. So you can cut it off, he has pictures somewhere, I will try to find the link to the page if I can.

Cool, thanks for digging up those pics...

I would actually want to start cutting after the front pillars, so it would be an open air cabin the way that a Defender or Wrangler sans bikini top is...
