Ok, so, More than 15 years ago I purchased Headers for my 1998 Disco that I no longer own (pictured below) 😭😭😭😭.
I’ve been searching for headers for my new 98 and can’t find anything online.
Anyone knows who makes headers for Disco 1????

No personal experience.

These are the Rimmer Bros headers I have on my 4.6 RRC. They are noticeably better quality than the pacesetters that used to float around. However, plan for a little tweaking to get the flange bolts to line up exactly.

On both sides I had to bolt most of the flanges in place then use a tiny ratchet strap to pull a rogue flange a couple mm into compliance. At $799 from TWS, that's about what it cost to buy and ship the set from Rimmer Bros in the UK.

I went the V-band route like mbrummal also suggested. I got a set of stainless clamps off Summit or Ebay and had my exhaust shop fab the rest. I didn't expect them to run the LH pipe over the crossmember, but it's fine.

Those are sick! I ran the headman’s on my first series coiler. If I recall I had to dent one a bit for the steering u joint. Been a long time and it was a 3.9 on RRC chassis. Miss that rig. It had a 470 truck avenger on a JWR Offy manifold with the headman’s. Really woke that old girl up.

Great exhaust shop. They really tucked everything in nicely. Great attention to detail.
Yeah, I am lucky to have found them. It's an old school shop; as in they do great work, charge a fair price, and don't try to pull anything over on customers. That's a rare find these days.

Rimmer Bros headers
I bought the stainless Y-pipe with cats and the stainless cat-back from RimmerBros... I have to say: they did a complete sh!te job of packaging it up for the trip across the pond.. the exhaust inlet flange was bent beyond repair (where the cat-back meets the Y-pipe output/secondary tube) and the plumbing was not straight (could not get it even close to the stock hangers. They basically told me to suck it up and deal with it. This caused me to hunt for other vendors for all things LR...and my never-ending fight against Lucas, POD.

That said.. I have had good luck with other stuff from them: D90 front brake conversion parts, steering box (so far so good), and a bunch of other stuff.

Hedman may have just categorized them wrong.
Thats probably why they are affordable :)

I think Doug's Headers (or his Wife's company, Doug Thorley Headers) used to make tri-y headers for the 3.5/215. That would be a great option if done well.. more low and mid torque.

I reached out to DTH to see if they can still make them (they are not listed)..and if so, maybe some others would be interested. Another advantage beside a nice squished out torque curve is how compact they are. They tuck up a lot more than good ole' 4:1 longtubes :)

If any of you would be interested in a set of Doug Thorley's, let me know and I will lobby for them to dust off the templates.

TWS makes a nice looking set of tri's for the little sporting coop'ays.. I wonder how hard it would be to make these fit: https://thewedgeshopstore.com/tws-performance-4-2-1-headers-tr8-tr7-v8/ They are half the price of the rimmer headers.

If anyone is feeling frisky with their TIG kit, here is a company that makes the flanges: http://www.headersbyed.com/__buick.htm

Oh, those TWS are 4-2-1, not tri-Y's. Note the port combinations. 4-2-1 does not improve low-mid power (ordered port scavenging) like a tri-y.
*I may delete this entry; TWS says they are tri-Y and I see the ordering on one header, but the other header looks like a 4-2-1... I need to go back and check my firing order :)
