"Disco" strobing dome light, radio, beeper... HELP!

On the 4th of July weekend I hooked up the tent trailer and headed to our usual spot on the beach to spend the weekend surfing and blowing things up. When I unhooked the trailer I noticed that the dome light in my Disco would strobe and then go off after about 6-7 strobes (blinks). I also noticed everytime there is any sort of large electrical current engaged (like shifting into Drive or Park, setting the parking brake or just opening the door) the radio display blinks also. The CD changer doesn't even work - the display just blinks all the time in CD mode. There has got to be a short somewhere. Anyone ever run into this and where would be the first place to start?

I'm having the same problem with mine. even the rpm guage does a little dance. I checked the wires, it has a new yellow top battery, I checked the alternator, and am at a loss of what to check next.

most of the time, tach issues are directly related to alt's on the fritz.

My tach doesn't jump but just about everything else blinks! It is really annoying listening only to the radio and not having a dome light at night (rather a mini "disco" with the strobe light and all...). Every time I shift the radio turns off then back on again. My door and key beepers are really faint too.

Any other help would be REALLY appreciated... Ho? Kyle? Axel? Input? Rob? Blue? Bueler? Bueler? Bueler? Input? HELP! Got the Lucas gremlins eating up my rig!!!!!
