For suspension parts, I would go with RTE if you're going to rough it. They use Bilstein 7100 shocks w/ separate reservoir.
I cannot recommend OME Nitro-charger Sport shocks. Maybe they're O.K. if you run near the GVW, but anything less, your teeth will rattle out your mouth.
Run stock rather than TerrafirMa products or you will end up buying another better brand at some point after you have experienced TerrafirMa quality.
Yes, they are cheap. If you like giving money to the CCP and I don't think you do, ignore TerrafirMa.
RTE - Buy once, cry once.

BIG WHEEL ROVN IN KNOXVEGAS TN.
If I did it all over again, it sounds like our goals would be similar. I'd stick to 245/75 and keep it light. These days I'm more interested in where I can go, and how great the experience can be, rather than how big of a rock (or log, around here) it can drive over. Stock D1 suspension geometry is very well engineered and can take you far. Invest in your skills, maintenance, spares, and your recovery gear. If you reach the limit of its capability, it can be rewarding to find clever solutions beyond fitting larger tires and bearing the multi-faceted cost they incur.
I agree ON THE SECOND HALF FOR SURE
DAM STRAIGHT.

I think a 2 inch lift is ideal. If your truck has a rotary coupler instead of a u joint at the rear did, you will need to switch that out. That will vibrate when you start lifting.
I never wanted to trim any wheel wells on the trucks I’ve built.
The answer for the wheel getting stuffed up into the wheel housing is bigger bump stops.
The truck I’m building right now has the light front springs from Old Man Emu. if I end up running a winch I’m going to have to change them out.

OME HD ~2” with D2 front spring isolator/shock stud rings, D2 isolators on the top in the rear. If you want more down travel in the rear you can get really nice lowered shock mounts from Expedition Exchange, but you will need to get retainers for the rear springs. I think 7.50R16 is the best tire size for this combo. View attachment 60823

What are the benefits of D2 isolators/stud rings?

Its about .5" of lift, some vibration isolation.

I think the real benefit was for manufacturing. They didnt grind that top of the spring flat. Had to be cheaper to make.
