If they’re still stealing converters in England I would just run cheap converters. They won’t steal those.
before ranting at anyone, crawl under the Discovery and get eyes on the exhaust system. take photos with your phone (assuming you have one that can) and post the photos up here if you have any questions about the what you are seeing.Thank you so much for this. I can't believe the garage doesn't know this, when all they repair is trucks... Anyway, I can confirm that P LED never lits up when in Parking mode. So that means it's broken.
Thank you as well, much appreciated. Again, why my garage didn't know or do this properly... Anyway, do you happen to have a photo of how the exhaust should look like? An original one? So I can go back to them and rant about this.
Thank you very much for this... My suspicions have come through. They fucked me over. First off, they put a random pipe... And then asking me another 800 for the front one. What a rip off.Google is your friend, but any Land Rover parts supplier should do (Rovers North in this case):

This is from Rimmer Bros - based in UK, about 750 quid complete out of stainless steel:

Why would you even assume I don't have a phone that can... My friend, phone does photos in 8k if I want. Don't appreciate the sarcasm.before ranting at anyone, crawl under the Discovery and get eyes on the exhaust system. take photos with your phone (assuming you have one that can) and post the photos up here if you have any questions about the what you are seeing.

You can get all proper components aft of Y-pipe for a couple of hundred quid, from LRDirect or RimmerBros or whoever.
If I were you, I'd cancel payment on that exhaust replacement job or take them to the U.K. equivalent of small claims court if such exists.
They straight-piped the exhaust from Y-pipe to the tailpipe.

I didn't read that comment as intending sarcasm. I read it as not making assumptions based on a lack of information. As previously mentioned in this thread, the quality of the advice offered here reflects the quality and completeness of information given. It's helpful to remember a couple points: there is a small but growing preference in the US towards simpler phones by people who wish to communicate without the intrusive technology in the latest models, so it's not unreasonable to assume that someone's phone would lack a camera. Second, on this side of the Atlantic, names for things are often different (boot, bonnet, fanny are not what they mean in the UK) and antiquated units of measurement are still the predominant convention.
You'll find this forum is infinitely more valuable when approached with an open mind, a thick skin, and a willingness to learn. Being defensive doesn't invite generosity.
And you can install it yourself in your driveway with a limited set of basic tools. If you can loosen and tighten bolts, you can install a cat-back exhaust. Don't forget to use antiseize on the bolt threads so you can undo it all again in the future.
You Sir, have "straight pipe exhaust". On the plus side, it doesn't look like they took the CATs and they look OEM.
But what in Gods name did they do to that Flange?!?! Looks like its covered in HondaBond!
Also I HOPE that is water dripping everywhere on the frame from rain or something! But the NEW pipe being that dirty is concerning! Lots of oil!
On the Plus side, they kept the pipe straight; so cutting the pipe and putting a MUFFLER or cherrybomb in there should be pretty easy to do. Or about 350$ USD for a Y-pipe back kit from britpart or the like and install yourself.
