Hi, new member here. I have an 04 discovery 2 with I believe a windshield leak at the headliner. I have purchased a new rubber upper windshield finisher and the corner moldings as well. Does anyone have experience replacing this strip? Hopefully the windshield doesn't need to come out and I don't want to blindly yank the old piece out and be stuck.

To answer your question, no, I don't have the experience. But where in AZ are you? There are a couple of shops in Tucson who could likely either help you or point you in the right direction.

No you do not have to take the windshield out. They pop right in.
Do yourself a favor and get some body panel sealant and run a bead in the grove before you install the finisher. That should take care of any leaks you may have. The finisher by itself will not stop leaks.

I'm in tucson if you need a second pair of hands to set it in place.

But yeah seal that trim in place like rover canvas said! It's also possible it's leaking through the Roof rail mount or sunroof drain maybe.

But it's AZ, it'll be a bit until it rains and then it'll dump, so water leaks we don't notice here until we have a lake inside the truck.
