Discovery 2004 headlamp options

I have a question regarding the options to replace my headlamps (2004 Discovery V8 4.6L). Both front headlamps are yellowed, fogged, and one has quite a bit of water sitting in it. I read about sanding it and sealing it, but am unsure about whether I should just replace them in total. If I go that route, are there any headlamp upgrades that I can try that will not eventually fog and yellow, or is that really the only option? A second question I have stemming from headlamps are actual bulb upgrades, what would you guys recommend? I have read LEDs work well, but just wondering. Thank you for any advice!

I've used the Mother's sanding & polishing kit and they look great.....for a little while (couple-few months), then right back to yellowed and foggy.

With my LR4, I was getting fogging on the lenses and I gave the lights to a mobile detail buddy of mine. He had them for 2 days and did his own polishing routine and then did two applications of ceramic coating and they look as good as new. Cost me $150 total for the two. He said he'd re-apply the ceramic coating in about a year and they should never yellow or fog again.

I'd love to hear more about that. Where in AZ? I have an '04 in Tucson that could use this treatment.

Okay, maybe I can find someone around where I live that does a similar thing, thank you for your response!

I am also in Tucson Arizona and this is a very common thing here in the sun. IMO dodge and Jeep have the worse lenses. I've always heard Shoe Polish goes a long ways but never used it..

Turtle wax sells a kit for this id recommend more. But basically you sand/ polish the haze out and then coat with some UV protector..

Sadly, only new lenses are going to last another ~10 years untouched. But if keep up on ceramic coating them every year or of the like they should last another 10 years.
