Two shafts? Or shaft and gear.
The gear is attached to the end of shaft by a pin. Use a small punch to remove and install new pin.

Well, what Im trying to remove is the shaft that the rotor attaches too. This same shaft has the springs that attach to the bottom of it. Im trying to get into the "guts" of the centrifugal advance mechanism. Do I still need to remove that lower pin you're talking about?
Or is there something else that has to get removed?

To get to the weights and springs, Bueller, you remove the cap, rotor, spark shield, and pick up. After that if you want to get the shaft out, you must knock out the roll pin from the gear and pull the shaft from the top.
