I thought that it was some funny innocent humor. In fact my good friend who is black sent it to me alonf with a long list of other funny jokes about the new president.
Problem here is that people are too sensitive. To be able to joke in a way that isn't supporting hatred, allows for us to see past race in a genuine sense.
I have a lot of friends that come from all skin colors. The fact that we are clearly so worried about ensuring that we publicly don't notice skin color actually ends up working against racial tension. It ends up being like the elephant in the living room that noone talks about.
I thought the jokes were funny and that is why I repeated them. If I have offended anyone, I apologize.
Guess what?
Canada is about the only Country that is friendly and polite enough to put up with the Arrogance that spills out of the United States not to say something. United States depends on Canada a lot more than Canada depends on the United States. Give it a few more years and wait and see which country is dumb and which Country is not.
Oh, and I decided to not vote in the United States, because there isn't a candidate worth voting for, which is my right as a Dual American/Canadian Citizen. I live in Canada and pay my taxes in both countries. I did vote Conservative in Canada. Harper seems to be doing a great job.
