Woman Dies In Crash With Singer-Actor Brandy

LOS ANGELES -- Authorities said singer-actress Brandy was involved in a four-car crash on a California freeway last month that left one woman dead.
No arrests have been made, and the cause of the crash is under investigation.
The California Highway Patrol report said Brandy, whose real name is Brandy Norwood, was driving a 2007 Land Rover on a freeway in Los Angeles on Dec. 30. The report said she struck the back of a car while going about 65 mph.
The driver of that car, Awatef Aboudihaj, 38, was killed after her car hit another vehicle, slid into a center divider and was struck by an oncoming car. Her death was ruled an accident.
Norwood's publicist said that the singer was not injured or under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time. He also said she has expressed her condolences to the family of the deceased.
