I recently got a great deal on a 97'LSE 93,000. I have been reading all I can on this sight and others and never see this model listed? If anyone knows about the LSE or where to look it up I would appreciate the info.

Thanks
Mark

The LSE was actually sold "officially" in the 1998 Model Year. In the USA, there were LE and LSE models in 1998. In Canada there was also a stripped-down SD model in 1998 with cloth seats and without the wood dash trims etc.

However, it seems that late in the 1997 Model Year, what was to become the LSE, came out... a bit odd since 97 models were badged SD, SE and SE7... but the real '98 LSE's have chrome front and rear bumpers as well. Do you have the bumpers and interior wood?????

I have seen real LSE 97s.

Lightstone interior, can't remember if it had chrome bumpers.

97 it was a real Late Season Edition, where as 98 it was more of an actual model.

I have a '98 LE that has most of the LSE options: Lightstone interior, chrome bumpers, wood and leather shifter, wood center console, leather cubby lid, Boost wheels, chrome inserts on body molding, brushed stainless door handles. I think the only LSE options it's lacking are painted bumper ends and mirrors.

Bumping an old post... My Disco is a '97 LSE as well.

Sounds like the 97 LSE was a very limited run at the end of the year, but i've never been able to find an accurate description of what '97's LSE trim level is exactly made up of. (everywhere i'd read said they had the same trim as the '98 - chrome bumpers, sanstone interior, read AC, etc.)

My bumpers are all black and i've got no rear AC controls. Lightstone interior with contrasting piping as well as wood trim and 'LSE' embroidered floormats.

I thought I got lucky and ended up with some sorta 'special' Disco. I still tell my buddies that.

Nope, this is the first 97 LSE I've heard of. I bought a 98 LSE when I first got back in the states 1 1/2 years ago 78,000 for $9,000. It doesn't matter how much you initially pay for a rover...it's a bad investment at any price:D . They should be free to a good home as long as you promise to take good care of them.
