Door handle woes

The doors on my 93 LWB have gotten to be a pain. You need to pull them twice, and sometimes give a little hip-check to the door, to get them to open.
What adjustments are available inside the door? Any turnbuckles or such to tighten up the linkages?
If I replace the exterior handles, should that help?

I did search first, did not find anything. Can you provide a link?

Since the temp has dropped I've also had this problem. On the last above freezing day, I just sprayed a little wd-40 onto the latch and made sure it worked it's way into the hinge and swivel. It worked like a charm, door doesn't stick anymore!

I already tried the lubrication thing. And this started when it was still warm. So...no easy fix for me this time!
Not that the adjustment is such a big deal, and I need to take the driver's door panel off anyway to replace a broken outside handle, so I'm not cringing too much.
I just needed the exact info as to where the actual adjusters were. Great info on this board.

dunno if it's the same on the classic, but on p38's there's an extra pivot point (to make the handle work on L or R door) that gets in the way as things wear, snap it off and the handle pulls MUCH easier. may be something similar you can do as well as adjusting the linkage?

From memory, the door handle has a plastic plunger that pushes a pivot that pulls the rod to open the door. That rod has the adjuster on it. Assuming the pivot bolts to the back of the handle or the door frame, you could inter-change handles from drivers to passengers side.

All done, works fine. Thanks, guys. Five turns on the adjuster did it.
I also replaced the driver's side door handle...the silver part had broken. Not the first time for that. If anybody cares, you can indeed use a rear door handle silver part, the rear handles are cheaper than the fronts. You just need to drive out the pin holding the handle into the assembly.
I'll make a suggestion, though...it's easier and cheaper(free) to adjust the linkages than it is to keep pulling at a sticky door until the handle breaks!
