Door Seal Replacement

Hey guys, I just ordered a replacement door seal for the driver's door on my 1998 D1. Mine was torn in spots.

I've only looked at it briefly, but I'm unsure as to how the old one comes off. It seems to just be stuck on with adhesive or mounting tape. There is nothing of the kind on the new seal, though. The existing seal doesn't appear to be held on by the trim in anyway.

I've searched the forum, but I haven't found a post that details how to remove the old trim and install the new one. Does anyone have any suggestions.

I think it is just held on by friction. There is a lip and the old one can be pulled off and the new one pushed onto the lip. Hope this helps.
