95 D1 5 speed.
Started having what appears to be a binding issue. Started a couple of days ago. Videoed the front diff noticed a catch and a clunk when it turned. Pulled the drive shaft videoed it again and saw the same thing with the rear drive shaft. It’s not every rotation but something is defiantly binding when it turns.
I tried to add a video but it just posted a picture.

When you say binding do you mean
1) That you're feeling resistance when rolling/turning; or
2) That you're hearing some kind of sound

Also does this happen in neutral - and any particular times (e.g. accel, decel, uphill, etc)?

In the past my driveline issues were related to the parking brake drum being out of round and catching on the brake mechanism. Another time it was the a-arm ball joint.

Noise when turning sounds like a CV issue but I would also check the bolts that hold the front rotors to the hub in case they backed out a little. and also motor/trans/tcase mounts if you don’t find anything else.

It’s in the drive line. When the shaft turns it slows and acts like it’s skipping a tooth and then catches it.
I’m going to pull the rear shaft and see if the diff and t case turn freely.
