I just put a RTE 3" lift on my '94 Disco 1 and its pretty much B.A. My question is what drive shafts are the prefered? Tom Woods, GB, or that kit Atlantic british and rovers north sell?

Thanks as always.

the kit that atlantic british sell is nice because it creates a solid drive shaft, less to go wrong.

i made my own kit, found a used dshaft and bought the flange from the dealer. i had to use the mudshield from the old flange though. it cost me much less than the kit. i wrote a thread about it in nov. 05 (i remember cuz it was thanksgiving) if you want to search for it

If I can do that I will. The question I have is about the pinion angle. Will that pose an issue that I will just have to go out and correct for at a later date?

Thank you

your rear dshaft will be fine with a ujoint and a 3" lift. its the front dshaft that you may experience problems with down the road. the flange kit from dealer came with a new seal, and didnt require a spacer. its the kit from ab that includes the spacer.

thats the thing, at the time i knew i had to have one and the guy at the dealer couldnt find anywhere on the pictures any kind of spacer. so i went ahead and bought it, and had AB overnight me a spacer. i installed the genuine flange without the spacer to see if it worked and it worked perfectly and has for 30k miles. i think the difference is in the genuine flange vs. what AB uses?? your mileage may vary is all i can say about it
