Driver door lock plastic ring

The plastic ring that actuated the door lock from the tumbler is broken so I can't lock or unlock with a key. Probably a unicorn unless I buy the whole latch assembly but I thought I'd ask anyway if anyone knows where to get one. Picture attached...

I think you can still buy them, and I think somebody 3D printed them too. I'll see if I can find the links....

Rovers north sells them

I 3d printed one out of nylon. It worked for a while, but then the nylon deformed/yielded so it was the wrong material. It never broke

I just went through this same ordeal. Go to dealer and buy. WAY easier than anything else. Yes it may be $30 but atleast you can lock your doors and have a secured vehicle.

Printed one in ABS with 100% fill this morning and installed it. Seems like it was pretty strong and will at least last until I can order one. I always appreciate it when someone is kind enough to post the part numbers and finish a thread so others can find it later. Thanks

Got mine at pick a part. I use LKQ as they seem to get about 3-4 Rovers a week in the Socal area.

Plus you get to take apart a scrap door and accidentally break things you DONT want to break when you do your own car.
