Driver Window problem.

Hello, first time post...Have scanned multiple forums, found wealth of knowledge but I'm stuck. ('97 Disco Se V8 automatic w/180k) Driver window stuck up...No sound of motor or regulator missing. Checked fuses under steering wheel and they seem fine. I have checked the console switch and tested it with passenger side window wiring and it works. When the console is depressed I get a clicking at the window ECU. It sounds just like when the passenger window moves except of course nothing happens. Yanked ECU and didn't find what I thought were bad connections but resoldered half the board anyway (the half closest to the connectors and what I think are relays). Put ECU back, no luck still no driver window power. Should I... Resolder the other half of ECU board (which looks like it contains a Micro-chip)...Or is there somewhere else I should be looking? I've searched high and low for breakdown of what the components are on that ECU but have had no luck...Would love some advice!!!! Or do I have to open the door panel up and check if motor is bad?

I'd check power to the motor and from the motor to see if it's the window motor or not. If it's the window motor then it's a cheap and easy fix. If it's not the window motor or the ecu and ends up being somewhere in the harness then it could be a big ass pain. Since your a noob, I'll suggest you do a search for the Land Rover repair manual called "rave", it's downloadable for free and is one of your friends. Good luck
