Driveshaft Question

Hi,

I've decided to buy a Tom Woods conventional double cardan driveshaft to replace the front OEM on my Landy.

My questions are these;

1) Is there any reason why they suggested the double cardan as opposed to the single driveshaft?

2) Is it absolutely necessary to measure my current OEM driveshaft?

1. Yes. Much much less vibration.
2. measure from flange to flange at normal ride height, not DS length.

I just measured from "plate to plate" and came up with 23 1/2" - does this sound correct?

Will be interested to se how the install goes - you doing your own, or getting a local shop to do it?

I'm considering the same unit for my D2.

Will Tillery sells Tom Woods shafts and has already done the homework....but he gets a better deal than you would. Call Tillery and get a price before you order.

Same warranty as Tom. Will is just a re-seller. Will's price was around 350.

As Dan said, get it from Will. He has D2 shafts listed for 345 shipped in parts right now.
