Never had a tire failure off road. Buy good tires , put some air in em and have a good time..... I have said many times that I dont drive a few thousand miles to work on my truck in the middle of BFE. I can do that at home in the shop and I can do it alot cheaper.
I am not arguing that airing down doesnt increase traction. My argument is that traction comes and goes , thats the name of the game. If it spins it spins , doesnt hurt anything ,just get out of the pedal and dont destroy your junk , get a new line and try again.
I also travel heavy and in all sorts of terrain. I dont want the thought of that tire down slope coming off its bead in my head ever. I like things predictable....
