Dust cover removal...

Hey all. After a day of wheeling my brakes always get filled with mud and clay that packs itself hard behind the rotor and dust cover. By the time I get home, the stuff literally bakes itself into porcelin that is brutal to get out. Chipping it out takes forever... The pressure washer does nuthin, it's like fired clay...

My truck sounds and feels like a massive bag of hammers driving down the street :ack:.

Are there any realistic reasons why I can't just leave them off?

Thanks

Take them off and sell them for scrap, I've driven for 75k miles without dust covers and have yet to find the down-side.
