1985 e23 735i, 330k miles, runs well, needs an alternator. Should be a fun little cruiser.

Most likely the voltage regulator which can be replaced in minutes without removing the alternator.

If interested; I have a set of Bilsteins and suspension techniques springs that I removed from a car last year. I have a 5 spd conversion package as well.

already replaced the alternator, didn't even think of the voltage regulator until the alternator was on the doorstep.
