EBC brake kit

I’m needing to do a brake job on my 98 d1. The pedal is extremely soft and it doesn’t stop for sh@t. Considering doing the EBC brake kit. I’ve also considered the 110 front caliper upgrade. The brakes have been soft for a long time. I did put SS lines on it but it didn’t seem to change anything.
my daughter wants to drive it so I’d like to make it better before she gets behind the wheel. She has been driving an LR3 and it’s quite a bit different when braking.

I’ve done the EBC kit. I like their products. Been thru a few sets of their pads and their rotors hold up quite well. I would also change your master cylinder while your at it. Or do that first. If it’s still the stock on or you have 100k on the replacement then I would change it again. Then do the EBC when it’s time for new brake pads or rotors. Just my 2cents.

Defender front caliper upgrade is well worth it. This topic has been covered extensively in this forum, so a search will yield a wealth of information.

My fleet also includes a D1 (with front and rear Defender brakes) and LR3. There's no comparison in braking performance between the two, so don't even bother. It is possible to improve the braking performance of the D1 relative to stock but there's a limit to the gains you can achieve. I wish all my Rovers stopped as well as a Range Rover Sport Supercharged.
