Thought I'd upgrade to EBC rear pads this time around but, nothing but bad results so far. first is the loud very annoying squeal even after break in. then there's the dust jeezuzz they're dusty. I've decided to trash them and go back to OEM pads FWIW

I never had a problem with my green stuffs squealing but they didn't really want to stop the truck first thing in the morning. I would have to almost stand on the brakes to get them to do anything meaningful. Once they were warmed up, they were fine.

and yeah, a lot of dust.

I like my Wagner Thermo Quiet pads....no noise, stop really good...and virtually no brake dust. Have them on the wife's 328 and work equally as well there too. Got them at Advance Auto.

I have those on the rear, and ceramic on the front (from NAPA) and I have no brake dust, no squeaks or squeals and stops rather well.

greenstuff pads are designed to work under heavy (track) load, they need to be hot to work well. for street driving and even for off roading they are meaningless, even dangerous. I have them on my saab, and just cant wait to get rid of them, in fact will replace them with oem this weekend (had them on for more than a year, so I know what I'm talking about).

Mintex RedBox are even worse. :(

Axis Ultimates are my personal favorites.
I'm currently running the mintex red box pads on the rear. I try to make sure I'm home before 10 so the squealing doesn't wake the whole neighborhood as I come down the street.

they still need way too much heat for an LR. It was frightening to go down my hill for the first few hundred feet until they warmed up.

I guess I havent noticed on mine, the performance is marginal, and I would agree that cold they do stop less, but I guess im used to it....

Mine finally stopped squealing the other day too... only took 18 months....
