I finally replaced a water pump and was driving up the canyon and am experiencing an overheating issue. The electric fan would only kick on when the A/C compressor circuit was closed. Obviously the added load of the A/C compressor wouldn't aleviate the cooling issue. I did a search for electric fans, but to no avail. Any suggestions????

well (im assuming you have a dI, im not sure about dII) the electric fans are only supposed to come on when the AC is on unless you are majorly overheating....so investigate further for the cause of the overheat......clogged radiator for example....not to insult intelligence but you did check the coolant level right? i almost had my explorer serviced for a coolant temp switch last week, when it really was just low, somehow i forgot to check that first
