Electrical Issues / No Dash Lights

I've searched and I'm leaning towards my headlight switch but would like any input DWeb could give. I keep blowing a fuse (F33 - 10AMP) :banghead: when I turn on my parking lights or headlights. I loose my dash lights, front parking lights and RH parking light in the rear. Radio still works, headlights work. Turn signals work.

Has anyone had a similar problem on a DII. Everything I've read has been about DI symptoms. The fuse always blowing is what differs from all the threads I read and I'm curious as to what would cause the fuse to blow if the headlight switch was bad.

The other thought would be a possible ground but have no idea where to look.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

I wanted to post a follow-up and report that the problem was fixed. I put a like new headlight stalk in from Will Tillery and it fixed my problem. :victory:

I have used DWeb for numerous things over the years. I feel it was time to give back and share an electrical nightmare and maybe help someone in the future.

UPDATE Part 2:

So I used a fused jumper and determined that my headlight switch must be bad. I order one up from Will T. and everything works......for two days! :banghead: Driving down the road and I hit a major pothole and loose my dash lights, parking lights on the RH. WTF!

The wire for the dimmer had rubbed itself down. It finally grounded to the steel support under the instrument cluster. It was welded on there pretty good. Needless to say I cleaned every grounding point, checked every fuse and FINALLY uncovered the culprit. Hope this can help someone in the future. DWeb has certainly led me out of the dark in the past.
