Hey Discokids!!

Who has, or is using Equal? Is it all that it is cracked up to be? It sounds like a great idea but does it truly work?

I am going to get a set of 265 Kelly Safari MSR tires and was entertaining the thought of Equal.

i finally took it out of my 235's and afunny thing happened.






i'm now vibe free (even beyond 75mph)

I also had alot of vibes using it over about 60mph. It was already in the tires when I got them and they were very evenly worn.

It's true.

I had a vibe over 70 mph that I was certain was an Equal vibe.

I lost a bead this past weekend at Area 51 and replaced the flat with an unused spare and my >70mph vibe disappeared.

Upon closer inspection, the front tires are more worn than my rear tires and are in need of rotation.

I never noticed any vibes on the highway regardless of speed. I really like the product. Especially after playing in some mud pits last weekend in WI. Tires are wearing very evenly.

I've never seen it work in TrXus, but BFG's seem to like it. I used it in 32x9.5 TSL bias plys and it worked sometimes, and sometime not....I think if you have a fairly tall and narrow well built tire it would work ok.

I've tried it twice with poor results both times. I have about 45oz of it sitting in my garage.

ok Ross, i'll play devils advocate,

i bought a case of that crap, and passed them around to 5 guys, in our club and other. (a total of six people,that includes me)

as of today, all of us ran it, none of us kept it......

so i suppose that would make it 9 not worked, right?

not to hijack the thread, but waht is the proper tire rotation pattern for the D1? and do you rotate in the spare?

One more vote for DONT BOTHER WITH IT. Been there, unsatisfactory results, won't go back.
