exhaust help

The rover failed Massachusetts emissions a couple of months ago and this was after I changed out the O2 sensors! I need help! I even had installed a NRP catback s.s. exhaust. I'm hoping that the problem isn't with the catalytic converters. Anyone have any information?

The exhaust really stinks (like rotten eggs (literally)).

rotten eggs is usually the converters. But the gas readings will really tell the problem.

So I can't find the numbers associated with the failed emissions test. What would be the fixes in general for the problem (outside of replacing the cat conv.)?

You MAY be overworkign your cats.... The gas readings would be VERY helpful in seeing whats going on.

I'd check any egr equipment, make sure no injectors are leaking, no codes in the computer, and probably put it on an ODBII diag or Rovacom (depending on year) to see what the computer says it's doing and get the readings from Mass DOT or third party emissions place.

i got the test results!

CO2 reading at 2390 rpm was 13.6
its was a 13.2 at idle

they also give an HC and CO reading

not sure what readings anyone needs in order to help

Usually CO and HC.
