Exhaust Jack from Dubai - 3 ton too weak?

My wife brought me an exhaust jack back from her trip to Dubai this week. I tried it out and it does not seem to lift my DII very high at all. I tried multiple places, even the lowest places with no success. It is a '3 ton jack' and the picture on the instructions shows the jack lifting a regular passenger car.

I have 32" tires and a 1.5" lift. Additional weight is RTE front and rear with a skid up front..that's it really.

Is it simply that my truck is too heavy or perhaps to high to be used with this jack? I assume a tail pipe can lift a truck becuse I see pics on line and all the dune bashers in UAE use them commonly. I could purchase that bushranger one but it's pricey and the one I got was for free.

Thoughts?

Hmmm. It should lift your truck fine. Maybe not enough exhaust flow? Did you try midly revving the engine and see if that helped?

ok, I did not really know the weight. I just did your suggestion and got the same result. What position underneath the vehicle should I use? Perhaps I'm putting it in the wrong place? Also, I'm doing this on a flat driveway. I should think that I would be able to lift the truck up high enough so that I could change a tire. Is that the wrong expectation?

Not at all.

Hell id say you could put it anywhere and it would lift it up at least enough to change a tire. Id call the company.

I've only seen one of these kinda of work before, and it seemed that there couldn't be any kinks in the tube at all.

in the end we ended up using a hi lift b/c we couldn't get it to inflate enough to lift his truck.

yeah, see...in that pic the thing is fully inflated. The one I have is not doing that at all. This was a freebie from my ex-pat sister-in-law who lives in Dubai. She tells me all the cars have these and had an extra one to give to me. My birthday is in March so maybe I'll hit it then.

Is this pic you posed of your vehicle or is it off a web-site?

ok, so you have a Bushranger and it works fine? I mean you can lift it up enough to change a tire using your tail pipe?

...and it was free.

That's a good reason to me to try out some new gear.

Hell I'd try pillow tracks out if they were free, and when they didn't work I'd use them as a camping air mattress.
