AB ran a sale on the Double S stainless steel cat back so I decided to try it out. The way they shipped it was a little disconcerting (no packaging), but everything seems to be in great shape. The construction is very robust and seems to weigh quite a bit more than the Brit Part exhaust it's replacing. The hope is that I'll never have to replace the cat back again.

I now need to figure out which cats I'm going to purchase so I can pass emissions and renew my registration.

Also, should I use an exhaust olive at the muffler inlet? I used one with the Brit Part cat back, but it never seemed to sit quite right. I've researched and some say use it and others say you don't need it.

You don't need it. You can use a high temp sealant if you want.

I installed the muffler delete pipe on my 04 D2 and it is very loud on cold starts. The engine is a LR crate with a cam, which shouldn't make a difference. Sounds good under throttle though.

I installed the Double S cat back and it's luckily as quiet as the stock setup. It seems to be high quality stainless steel, so I'll hopefully never have replace it again. Those rubber muffler hangers are a royal pain to install!
