Extended ABS Sensors?

Is there such a thing? Are any others compatible? I rerouted the fronts and have just enough slack, but I need a little more in the back, have not looked at new routing though.

As long as they fall in the 950-1100 Ohm range they should work.

Yes I am keeping ABS, at least until it's a trailer queen and that is not happening.

The rears are longer in the back on mine. I will take a look at routing and see what I can come up with in back, and them measure to see what I need for the front to see if a set from the rear solves that issue.

John at EE said he has never tried them on an early disco.

96 is early?

I used many rear ABS sensors in front of D1/RRC. They typically suffer less from non-stress-relieved repeated cable bending at the sensor.

I opted for the extensions as I didn't want to disturb the ABS sensors (hubs and sensors are supplied together, and shouldn't be separated... according to the manual, anyway), and it's going to be a lot easier to simply plug extensions in.

That's funny, I just ordered a set an hour ago for my D2 https://expeditionexchange.com/shop?olsPage=products%2Fslickrock-fabrication-disco2-abs-extension-kit-abs&page=2

I'm not sure about the D1 though.

I looked more closely at the inside of the right angle connector on the EE site. It looks like these should work. The sensors are different between the 2 vehicles, but the connectors look to be the same Wabco 2 pin standard. I think EE has never tried these on other vehicles and did not want to make a suggestion to try them. They are available cheaper elsewhere but the shortest I have found so far is 4 feet.

No problem. Type or click on Meritor Wabco on that site to narrow down your results. Must have been a merger or acquisition.
