Uh huh! Any idea what size the fittings are? If they are standard I might see if there is something common I could use out there.

I searched AB's website with no luck. Either its only in their catalog or I don't know how to use the internet.

Their not standard, they are british standard.

I believe ol' George at Rovers Down South has them. He may even have them in stainless as well. Call him up, and ask when the next plane to Los Angeles departs.

adam has a point, though it gets deeper and more complicated. the threads are standard threads, 3/8"-24 UNF. There are however differences in the thread length and flare formation that make it difficult to use the s**t available in most US FLAPS. If you aren't resourceful enough to figure out what you have, then your best bet is to buy the correct hoses from a vendor that already has the correct parts.

last time I called george he said he is longer accepting new customers on the chicken side of the business. that was after he tried to tell me there was a $50 credit card minimum on chicken purchases.

It's been awhile since I called George. Last time my dad called him, he was bitching abotu how he couldnt find bearings for the Fairey, and how he had to order American made bearings from England, and have them shipped over.

My dad works for Timken, and travels quite a bit for them setting up new plants. My dad helped George find a source some needle bearings.

I didnt know George was selling chickens now. I really should take a trip down to see him, I am curious what he is like in person.

Your pappy works for Timken?? Nice.

George is great. I probably should talk to him about why my overdrive screams like a banshee. I bet its a bearing or something.

Now that you mention it, I do remember seeing a feather when I pulled the little dipstick to check the oil level...

All,

I can make these at work. Teriann Wakeman has a SS brake hose I built on "the green rover".

They are standard 3/8 thread brake fittings but some of them have longer threaded parts to reach the seat in the female port. The one on the back seals with a copper crush washer. I think they seal that way on the front wheel cylinders as well. I have never made fronts before. I do plan to make them for my own 109 when I get around to working on the brakes. I havent had any trouble with mine! Knock on wood.

I have some new ones here at my house to use as samples to make sure I get the threads right.

I can make them in stainless steel either raw or with a pvc cover that can be tinted green, blue, red or black. I can get stainless fittings but they are stupid money.

I cant make them free but they are hand built by me, tested to 3000psi and shipped to you by a fellow series rover nut.

They run 40-60 per line depending on how long you want them. More for solid stainless steel ends.

I also have seen them for sale in kits on ebay for WAY less than I can offer them for though I cannot comment on their quality of if they are correct or not.
