So my 2004 D2 has seen plenty of trails, has some 'wrinkles' in the muffler and there is evidence of mud, debris etc on the exhaust pipes.

While the pipe appears ok, the sheilds above the cats are loose from where the welds broke that secure the sheilds.

I dont want to pay $100 to have them tell me they wont replace the pipes; anyone have any expererience with aapco covering exhaust pipes when only the sheilds are whats 'broken'

Should I just hit up a midas and have them tack the sheild back on?(probably cost me like $20)
this post is looking for folks who alos have rovers under extended warranty who have had their dealer change their pipes for this reason

i dont have any kind of warranty coverage....but i would damn sure rather spend $20 than have to jump through ANY of their bs hoops.

I don't think there is much of anything exhaust related that APCO will cover. When I was writing service for the dealer, I couldn't get them to cover anything other than the manifolds. I think the mud and trail related damage would only make it harder.

Take it to Midas.
