Fab plans for download?

I love our tech section, but I think it desperately needs an open-source fab portion where people can upload and download plans with measurements for custom fab bumpers, sliders, etc. I understand there are probably plenty of members who won't want to share their IP with everyone, but I imagine there are plenty of others who wouldn't mind, and yet have made some pretty cool stuff for rovers.

I don't have a lot to submit yet, but eventually I imagine I will.

If people dont want to share full plans, even general specs would be very helpful.

I.e. for front bumper (these are all just sample guesses)...

Front end is 70" wide. Mounts are 4.2" wide, 28" between inner mounts, etc.

Well like I said, if you don't want to put up your IP, then don't. But if you don't care whether someone builds it or even tries to make money off it, then go for it. The idea is to gift things to the world. ...like Thingiverse or something.

Pinky, agreed - even basic specs would be useful. I'd just like to fab up some sliders - I've got tons of steel laying around and a tig welder, if I had drawings to fab some up I'd be all over it. Don't exactly have time to draw up the plans though.
